Roxanne Jones
Roxanne is an award-winning copywriter who has specialized in healthcare communications for more than 25 years. With her grasp of medical topics and love for animals, it was a natural transition for her to write about four-legged patients and their doctors – which she’s been doing with BluePrints since 2013.
Over the years, Roxanne held a variety of marketing and public relations positions in the greater Boston area, including associate director of public relations at Boston University and director of communications at the Massachusetts Medical Society (publishers of the New England Journal of Medicine).
Seeking year-round warmth, Roxanne and her husband moved from the Boston area to Palm Desert, California in 2000. While there, Roxanne served as a contributing editor for Palm Springs Life magazine, editor of its sister publication Palm Desert, and she became mom to shelter cats Kirby (a Maine Coon) and Tess (a tortie).
New Englanders at heart, Roxanne and her family returned to her home state of Maine in 2006 (brrrrr). She also previously served on the executive committee of the New England Society for Healthcare Communications and was a member of the Maine PR Council.
